Is there a way to hide a column? I set the width to 1 for now but was wondering if there was a better way…
The data is still important but I do not want to see it all the time…
It has always seemed less useful than the current splitting views, so this function is not available as of now.
Aside from minimizing the size, you should effectively achieve similar results (as hiding columns/rows) splitting views with hidden row/column headings etc.
You can turn on/off any type of synchronized scrolling between two distant regions. Please see the “Worksheet views” help section. Such views are defined separately for each sheet.
If you edit two distant columns you can also define automatic jumping between such columns (“Using AutoScroll Range to automatically scroll between cells”).
